Precision felling

I was pretty impressed with my husband when he managed to fell the damaged fir tree in our garden without hitting the greenhouse, shed, outbuilding or garage. He wonders why I ever doubted him. Was I wrong to be concerned??!!
Molly's house

We had a great weekend with Ivor, Bex and Molly in their fabulous new house. Molly and James have become great mates. Here they are enjoying a seesaw ride at Molly's birthday party.

Despite the miserable weather they managed to enjoy themselves tremendously. James asked if we could see Molly again next week - sadly he will have to wait just a little longer...

What I did at Grandma and Grandpa's

I went to Grandma and Grandpa's house at the weekend. Grandma had a nice rest while I made the lunch.

Then I treated everyone to a fashion show - here I am modeling my new Jedi-ewok dressing gown. Grandma made it. Where do you keep the light-sabre in this thing?

Then I gave a piano recital. This tune is a particular favourite. Grandma and Grandpa say I'm very advanced for my age.

Timb....Er!?!

The large tree in the middle of our garden (wild thing full of nettles) seemed to take the wind out of the storm but as a result suffered major injuries. Its heroics were greatly appreciated although it seems to have caused yet another headache as now the greenhouse is in jeopardy. Thinks it's time to become Dr Tree Surgeon and pray that the greenhouse is full of toughened glass.....

The fruits of our neglect

Despite the fact that Sunnyside hasn't seen much garden fork action for the last five years, today we managed to harvest masses of beautiful daffodils, helibores, snowdrops and the odd periwinkle.

Smiley girl

The jury has been out this week on whether or not these beautiful faces Jennifer has been making lately are genuine smiles. The verdict is that Jennifer is a smiler.

Progress

The builders are in and the renovations are underway. Upstairs we have the beginnings of new walls..

...and downstairs, the beginnings of new floors.

The Three Musketeers

alias Emma, James and Christopher.

James is already great mates with his new neighbours and can't wait until we move in so that he can enjoy more playtimes
