Les Barries

We spend this weekend in the fine company of the Barrys of Bath.  With gloriously sunny weather we barely set foot indoors, and today was mostly spent shooting things.  The casualties were half a dozen flower pots, a couple of plant labels, some fake bunnies and a plastic fork.

A stunning performance from James at 25 metres, this boy barely missed a shot, thanks to Christopher's expert tuition.

Space hoppering

The good old 1970s space hopper was enjoying something of a revival at the May fair this weekend.  An enjoyable day in which we space hopped, raced eggs on spoons, country danced, and returned home laden with coconuts.

Tractors and trenches

The garden has been the site of some serious battles today.  Here we have Burgess squadron defending the mound from attack by Mummy's spade and James's water bombs.  Further down in the wild area of the garden (the area pictured above is actually in the 'tamed' area), Daddy has been playing tractors.  We are converting this area into a wildflower meadow, with a few fruit trees to keep us in crumbles and pies.

Day glow boy

Thank you Grandma for this most treasured jumper.  It has been worn constantly since we collected it  in the week.  It may have to enter the washing machine by stealth and under cover of darkness.  It's as much as we can do to separate it from James's body at bed or bath time.
