Bluebell walk

The bluebells are at their best at the moment, so we went for a walk in the woods with Christine, Christopher and Emma. It was James's first big walk and although he found it quite tiring, he did very well and walked most of the way.

Christopher showed us the best climbing tree on the walk.

Below is Emma and James with Oscar the school mascot.

It was Emma's turn to look after Oscar this weekend, and his adventures will be reported back to the school next week!

Digging

This is the latest development at sunnyside. Mab has dug a hole for the hot water pipe. So far no-one has fallen in it, which is one better than my boss.
Logging

Thanks to all who helped us move logs to sunnyside last weekend. We look forward to sharing a warm fire with you next winter.

Grandpa's Birthday

James likes it when Grandpa has a Birthday as it seems that new toys appear in the garden.

Hoorah for Grandma for saving them from the skip.

Snowy day

This morning we woke up to a beautiful covering of snow. Sadly it was too wet to last for very long and it has now almost gone.

Brotherly love

James continues to smother Jennifer with affection, and Jennifer appears to be genuinely delighted with her brother's attentions. I wonder how long this beautiful friendship will last before the fighting kicks in?

Big Jennifer

Jennifer is now two months old and is doing her best to rival her cousin, Big Bertha, in the growing stakes. She is between th 75th and 91st centile on her growth charts and is growing out of her clothes at a remarkable speed. Watch out Bertha.

Precision felling

I was pretty impressed with my husband when he managed to fell the damaged fir tree in our garden without hitting the greenhouse, shed, outbuilding or garage. He wonders why I ever doubted him. Was I wrong to be concerned??!!
Molly's house

We had a great weekend with Ivor, Bex and Molly in their fabulous new house. Molly and James have become great mates. Here they are enjoying a seesaw ride at Molly's birthday party.

Despite the miserable weather they managed to enjoy themselves tremendously. James asked if we could see Molly again next week - sadly he will have to wait just a little longer...
