On Sunday 3rd February at 10.42am Jennifer Eve Burgess entered the world, weighing a very respectable 8 lb 1 oz. 
Everything went very well and now we are back home getting to know one another.
We had a visit from some very proud grandparents ...
...and a very good big brother. James has been great with Jennifer so far, giving her lots of cuddles and kisses and being very gentle.
He mastered her name very quickly, but has occasionally been quite insistent that she should be called Thomas.

Hi Lou!
Congrats on birth of Jennifer - you look remarkably relaxed! Also cannot believe you are doing building work at the same time! We are in the midst of ours, also living in the house and it is much tougher than we had imagined. Well done for getting on with neighbours - we have managed to alienate 2/3 of ours so far due to banging/noise etc..argh!
