Happy Sunday
Today has been a blissfully happy day. We started the day with poached eggs on toast all round, thanks to our lovely chickens who begun to lay today, producing a
grand total of seven eggs. Then two whole hours of sheer indulgence at a beautiful garden and plant sale with Lizzie, followed by a visit from Nanna & Grandpops, a new swing in the garden for James, afternoon tea with Grandma & Grandpa and some serious water slide action in the garden. James and Jennifer really do have the best Daddy in the world.

The chicks hatch at last
Day 19 in the letter box house, and the chicks finally arrive on the scene. Our squatters have now increased to five, with the addition of these four bald goggly-eyed little creatures. Five eggs, four chicks, whatever happened to chick number five? We will never know, but will certainly enjoy the privilege of watching these chicks grow up.

Welcome to the world William Bastable!
Today we paid a visit to cousin Jane who gave birth to the beautiful William on Tuesday 27th April at 9.30pm. William slept through the whole event and is showing every sign of being an angelic little boy. Jennifer was particularly taken with him and took great care to wrap him up warm in his bed.
