If I'm totally honest, book week is generally the low point of my school year. I dread the prospect of inventing a costume that will vaguely pass as a book character so that the children can hold their heads high at school that day. Finding the time and the creativity is a huge challenge, and this year was no different. I was beginning to despair last night at 7pm when the amazon man still hadn't arrived with the promised parcel - so much for their guaranteed next day delivery service. But just as I pressed 'send' on my emailed complaint there was a knock on the door and book day was saved. Another year survived with Jenny as Queen Jadis of Narnia and James as Hiccup the Horrendous Haddock the Third. Phew.
