Return to Glen Affric
After six years we return to Affric Lodge for Neil's 50th birthday celebrations. This place is the epitome of peace, calm and tranquility. That is until the champagne corks are popped and then the fam tend to get a bit rowdy. So sad that Aunty June and Uncle Nigel were thwarted by the weather and couldn't join us. I do hope there will be another opportunity...! This year conditions were a little cooler than on our last visit, but none the less beautiful. It was probably a wise move not packing the wetsuit after all. Thank you for the memories Claire and Neil x
Guisachan House and Falls
On the morning of our trip to Glen Affric we visited Guisachan House and Falls. I do love an old ruin, and the falls were spectacular in the icy weather.

Proper snow!
First proper snow in seven years, three snow days off school and glorious snowy walks to be enjoyed.
Ghyll Bank Farm
In search of snow for February half term! Lovely hillside retreat with the Daveys in the glorious Lake District. We sledged and sledged, and when the snow ran out we sledged on grass. A great week with great friends and family.
