Adventures in Cumbria

Thank you Tom for letting us stay in your house.

We had a lovely holiday James and Daniel had lots of playtime together, mostly involving Daniel trying to poke James in the eyes.

James discovers he doesn't have great sea legs after throwing up six times on a boat trip on lake Windemere.

Mab went on a 'solo' walk with Maisie up Fairfield Crag whilst Lou, James, Hannah a
nd Daniel went to Toddlers to sing nursery rhymes.

Keen not to miss out on the fun, James made his first ascent up Gummers How the very next day.

Then we bought a new toy which James
couldn't wait to try out before he went to bed.

...and the next day we tried it out for real on an adventure up Loughrigg.

Back at the
car after an exhausting day. It's a tough life being a baby.

Suzie Miller joins us for tea and an evening jaunt up Gummers How.

One last exhausting adventure up Orrest Head, and then it's time to go
home. Boo. Can't wait for the next trip.

P.S. Thanks Ruth and Keith for feeding us on our way home!

Great pictures! Little James has a strong family resemblance to his Candadian cousins... The one of him on the boat reminds me of Jacob, and the one of him sleeping right at the end (wearing the blue hat) reminds me of Elizabeth. Gorgeous!
