Climbing and Camping in the Cairngorms

A long weekend in the North Cairngorms saw us battling against gusts of wind touching 100mph, a morning out with the Scottish Avalanche Information Service, an awesome climb, camping out in the snow and lots of exploring.
Digging pits to assess the snow for avalanche.

The gully on the left is where we started the climb Alladins Couloir. The snow on the right is where we descended.

Descending after the climb whilst the wind blasted us.

Camping near Ben McScotland.

Building a snow shelter to protect us from the wind.

The road which a few minutes earlier we'd driven along before it blew a hooleee. A good weekend even though I feel like I've been beaten up by the weather.
